My dear family members set out to transform a bedroom in their lake home into a fully functional office—one that could keep up with their busy lives as business owners and executives, while still reflecting the personal, creative spirit that defines them. As passionate makers, mid-century modern lovers, and the minds behind two creative businesses, they needed a workspace that felt equal parts polished and personal.
PROJECT GOALS
Designed for frequent video conferencing, the office features space for three monitors while keeping the desk open and clutter-free, with no stationary storage (preferred) to maintain a clean look. Layered accent lighting highlights favorite pieces and accomplishments, creating a warm, inspiring atmosphere. Deep jewel tones and warm oak finishes bring richness and comfort to the space, while a cozy nook under the desk offers a perfect spot for their dog to relax. This office is a thoughtful blend of functionality and artistry — a place where work and creativity come together effortlessly.
